How can we solve some problems encountered during the use of water pumps?

1. Unable to start

Firstly, check the power status.

 

If the coupling connection is rigid, when the switch contacts are sealed, if the fuse blows or the three-phase power supply is different, it may be due to open circuit, poor contact, or fuse melting.

 

When encountering such situations, it is necessary to identify the cause and repair it in a timely manner, and then check for mechanical faults in the pump itself.

 

The common reasons for the above situations include: tight sealing or blockage of impeller and pump body by debris, rusting of pump shaft, bearings and reduction rings, severe bending of water pump shaft, etc.

 

Solution: Loosen the packaging and clean the water flow channel.

 

Disassemble the pump body to remove dirt and rust. Remove the pump shaft or replace it to fix it.

 

2. Heating of water pump

Reason: Bearing damage, small distance between sub bearings or brackets, bent or misaligned pump shaft, tape too tight, insufficient oil or low oil quality.

 

The balance in the impeller is blocked, the impeller is unbalanced, and the impeller has a greater thrust towards one side.

 

Solution: Replace the bearings.

 

Remove the rear cover and add a gasket between the bracket and the bearing seat. Check the pump shaft or adjust the center of both shafts, adjust the tightness of the tape correctly, and remove the stopper in the rocker arm hole.

 

3. Insufficient traffic

This is caused by the following reasons: slow feed due to mismatch or belt slippage.

 

The installation angle of the axial flow pump impeller is too small, the head is insufficient, the pipeline is too long, or the pipeline is at a right angled angle, the suction height is too high, and the bottom valve, pipeline, and impeller are locally blocked or damaged. The water supply pipe is leaking severely.

 

Solution: Restore normal speed, remove belt grease, adjust belt tension, adjust impeller angle to reduce water pump position, reduce pipeline size, or change pipeline curvature.

 

Remove obstacles and replace the impeller, replace the leakage reduction ring to prevent leakage.

 

4. Unable to absorb water

The reason is that the aeration pump and water supply pipe are filled with gas, the bottom valve is not fully closed, the water is not completely diverted, the vacuum pump is poorly sealed, and the louvers or flap doors are not fully closed.

 

Solution: First, pressurize with water. Then add water to the pump body and start the machine.

 

At the same time, check whether the check valve is closed and whether there is no air leakage in the pipeline or fittings.

 

If there is air leakage after disassembly, use lubricant or paint mixture on the joint and tighten the screws. Check the oil seal ring on the water pump shaft. If it is severely worn, replace it with a new one.

 

There may be water or air leakage in the pipeline, and the nuts may not be tightened during installation.

 

If the leakage is not severe, the cement slurry can be mixed with cement oil or asphalt oil instead of leaking air or water.

 

Temporary repairs can be carried out with a small amount of wet mud or mild soap. If there is a leak at the joint, you can use a wrench to tighten the nut. If the leakage is severe, the damaged pipeline must be dismantled and replaced.
